Alljoy Neighborhood Community Meeting

Location: Bluffton Branch Library, 120 Palmetto Way

Time: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Beaufort County is hosting a community meeting to discuss several projects impacting the Alljoy area. 

The meeting will be an information session for residents of the Alljoy community to connect with County staff regarding the status of the stormwater drainage study, sidewalk project, proposed boat landing improvements, and the BJWSA sewer project. 

Council Member Mark Lawson and Administrator Michael Moore will join the projects' Point of Contact to share updates and answer questions.

Public Facilities Committee meeting rescheduled for 3:30 PM on Monday, Jan. 27th at the Hilton Head Library

On Monday, January 27th, the Public Facilities Committee (PFC) will meet at 3:30 PM at the Hilton Head Library and will discuss two topics relevant for Alljoy:

    • The acceptance of a $1.2M state grant appropriation provided by Rep. Weston Newton for Alljoy Boat Landing improvements.

    • A resolution from Council defining the planned improvements based on the community meeting, for staff to move forward as a project.

County Council Meeting - Resolution to Approve the Alljoy Boat Landing Improvements Project

At the County Council's Regular Session meeting on Monday, February 10th at 6 PM, County Council will vote on a resolution to approve the creation of a project to manage the Alljoy Boat Landing improvements.  Once the project is approved, the county can hire a firm to create designs and concepts that will be discussed with the Alljoy community in future community meetings.  

The meeting will be held in County Council chambers at 100 Ribaut Road, Beaufort, SC.

Public Facilities Committee - Start the process to seek council approval to demolish the county-owned house.

At the next Public Facilities Committee (PFC) meeting on Tuesday, February 18th at 4 PM, we will start the process for County Council approval of the demolition of the house that the county purchased in order to provide additional land for the Alljoy Boat Landing improvements.  

This meeting will be held in the Executive Conference Room of the county admin building at 100 Ribaut Road.

Public Facilities Committee - Contract for the Alljoy area drainage study

On March 17th at 4 PM in County Council chambers, the Public Facilities Committee will be discussing the contract for the Alljoy area drainage study.  Council Chambers are located in the Administration building at 100 Ribaut Rd.
